Hi, I’m Nikko, aka the NeonGamingArtist. I’m a gaming enthusiast, and have gotten into digital art in recent times as a bit of an alternative to doodling.
I’ve been surprised by the amount of support I’ve received for my artwork on Instagram, and love being a part of this community. I’ve evolved a signature style over the past year, focused on neon-style pieces on a black background, which makes use of the advantages of the digital medium compared to pen & paper.
My favourite game series include Pokemon, the Final Fantasy series, Legend of Zelda series, and also a lot of nostalgia around the SNES era with Chrono Trigger, Mega Man, and Super Mario. Also into fighting games (Street Fighter, King of Fighters, and even Smash Bros) and also love racing simulators (Gran Turismo mainly). My gaming console of choice is now the Nintendo Switch for its convenience and engaging gameplay.
What’s been my focus lately?
I’ve been working on a Kickstarter campaign to produce a set of enamel pins based on my neon artwork of Pokemon. I’m very excited with this project, and the progress is looking really good! I’ve been a fan of enamel pins for a while, having amassed a small collection of pins from various makers too (primarily Pokemon-focused as well).
